Tampa Maid Foods Proactive Stance to Reduce the Risks Associated with COVID-19

To our Customers and Associates:

As a family-owned business, Tampa Maid Foods prioritize the health and safety to all of our customers and employees. We are closely monitoring the guidance of the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Tampa Maid’s focus is to ensure we meet customer needs while doing our part to keep all informed of the proactive steps we are taking regarding this virus. We have enhanced our normal health guidelines by taking these additional precautions:

Sanitation – Our routine sanitation standards in all areas of our company currently meet CDC guidelines. Additionally, we’ve put in place a heightened disinfection response program.

Visitors/Vendors – Effective immediately, outside vendors, customers or external suppliers are restricted from visiting our Innovation Center or Plant for the next 30 days (April 15th or TBD).

Warehouse Shipping & Receiving – To limit exposure, all drivers will be asked to remain in a restricted area during loading and unloading.

Our Team Members – For the next 30 days, we have grounded our sales team and they will not be visiting our office or traveling with any airlines. We are strictly enforcing our longstanding policy of requiring team members to stay home if they show or report any signs of illness. They will have the ability to utilize the various virtual meeting programs (e.g. Go To meeting) and telephone to support our customer needs.

We recommend you visit the CDC’s website for up-to-date information on how to keep your employees, your family and yourself safe. Meanwhile, Tampa Maid Foods will continue to focus on keeping our employees healthy and to meet all of our customers’ needs. We appreciate the trust and support of our loyal customers and employees and we look forward to continuing to serve you in our company.

Best Regards,
Rod Van Wyngarden
