Tampa Maid Foods Appoints CJ Iacovelli as Vice President, Sales & Marketing

CJ Iacovelli is a well-known industry leader, bringing over 15 years of experience in the foodservice and CPG industries. He has led sales teams at Kraft, Kraft Heinz and Lavazza Premium Coffees Corp. where he built high performing teams with a cross- functional, forward-thinking approach.

Lakeland, FL, January 17, 2023 – Tampa Maid Foods announced CJ Iacovelli has been appointed the new Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

CJ joins Tampa Maid Foods from Lavazza Premium Coffees Corp. where he was Senior Director of National Sales and led the US sales organization. His proven track record includes driving significant growth in both foodservice and E-Commerce, while also revitalizing the commercial sales strategy, creating new routes to market, and forging new partnerships with chain accounts.

Tampa Maid Foods Appoints Bret Mattinson Vice President, Quality & Food Safety

Bret Mattinson will lead Tampa Maid’s Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory team. With over 30 years of food experience and a diverse background in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Research and Development, Bret is the ideal leader for this team.

Lakeland, FL, January 17, 2023 – Tampa Maid Foods announced Bret Mattinson has been appointed the new Vice President, Quality and Food Safety.

After completing his master’s degree in Food Science from Utah State University, Bret started his career as a Quality Supervisor at Stouffers Frozen Foods. He then joined the McCain Foods Product Development Team where he progressed over the next 28 years through roles of increasing responsibility, including leadership of Quality & Regulatory, Process Development & Improvement, and Research & Development. Globally, his leadership in Research & Development supported the growth of McCain’s businesses in Canada, the US, Latin America, and the Southeast Asia region. Bret’s teams worked across all channels in the food industry on a wide platform of offerings from McCain’s potato products to appetizers, roasted vegetables, baked goods, and pizza.

Tampa Maid Foods Appoints Trey Burmester Director of Research and Development

Trey Burmester has joined Tampa Maid Foods as Director of Research and Development. With over 25 years of food experience, Trey has a proven track record of developing, commercializing, and launching innovative offerings to the marketplace.

Lakeland, FL, January 17, 2023 – Tampa Maid Foods announced Trey Burmester has been appointed the new Director, Research and Development.

Trey is an accomplished Food Scientist in the retail, foodservice, and industrial segments of the food industry. He most recently led the Culinary Innovation team at KFC restaurants, a division of YUM Brands, with over 4,000 US restaurants. While at KFC, Trey headed the team of food scientists and chefs, to create an innovation pipeline of products and new concepts. Prior to KFC, Trey directed the Product Development group at Diamond Crystal Brands, a subsidiary of Hormel, a global branded food company. His passion and expertise for balancing business needs, technical requirements, and culinary creativity will be a tremendous asset to Tampa Maid.
